Bone Harvesting Instruments

An Essential Part of Regenerative Success Begins with a Proven Treatment Concept

The application of Geistlich biomaterials in conjunction with an autogenous bone graft optimizes the autogenous graft’s osteoinductive potential and the osteoconductive capacity of Geistlich Bio-Oss®.2,3,4 Combining a 1:1 mixture of locally harvested autogenous bone chips with Geistlich Bio-Oss® covered by Geistlich Bio-Gide® can result in significant reduction in the amount of hard tissue resorption.1,3,5

Effective Tools for Bone Harvesting That Bring Ease and Versatility

Predictable Clinical Outcomes

Geistlich Bio-Oss® and Geistlich Bio-Gide® are the ideal biomaterials for procedures where autogenous bone is utilized. Geistlich Bio-Oss® provides a stable scaffold for bone formation leading to long-term volume preservation, while Geistlich Bio-Gide® ensures undisturbed bone regeneration and prevents soft-tissue ingrowth.

SafeScraper TWIST

Combining Versatility and Flexibility

SafeScraper TWIST provides an easy method for harvesting autogenous cortical bone, for use in grafted sites with a minimally invasive technique.

Its curved tip facilitates easy access to donor sites which makes SafeScraper TWIST the ideal device for both minor and major harvesting procedures. This manual harvesting technique allows the graft to retain cell viability, which is essential for graft integration.6,7 The collected bone shavings are mixed with blood, which can be combined with Geistlich Bio-Oss® or Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen® to ensure volume preservation.

Geistlich Micross

Enhanced Performance and Efficiency

Geistlich Micross is a minimally invasive autogenous bone collector which allows clinicians to better harvest bone in narrow, difficult to reach areas.

Its excellent cutting performance and narrow profile provides for easy bone collection at the defect site, as well as in other intraoral sites using a tunneling technique. This manual harvesting technique allows the graft to retain cell viability, which is essential for graft integration.6,7 The bone tissue is directly collected with coagulated blood making the graft easy to handle and mold to the defect shape. The collected bone shavings are mixed with blood, which can be combined with Geistlich Bio-Oss® or Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen® to ensure volume preservation.
